SAVE THE WHALE!!
The 3rd Annual Route 66 Legendary Blue Whale Fundraiser “A Blue Tie Affair” will be held on Thursday May 9, 2013 from 5-8pm along the shores of the Blue Whale in Catoosa.
This year’s Blue Tie Affair returns to a spring time date of May 9. The fundraiser event is happening along the shores of the legendary route 66 Blue Whale located at 2680 N Hwy 66 just past Reasors’ Grocery in Catoosa Oklahoma. Molly’s Landing will once again provide onsite preparation of a filet steak dinner. Silent auction items will be available. Wine & Beer will be available. The evening’s dress code suggests blue garments worn in a quirky blue tie formal style. Think Hawaiian shirt and baby blue Tuxedo jacket. Limited seating is available. Individual tickets are $50.00 per person. Please email email@example.com with your request for invoice by PayPal or you can contact Glenna Scott at the Catoosa Chamber of Commerce to come by and pay and pick up your tickets. Call Glenna at 918-266-6042.
Picture yourself on a perfect spring evening, the smell of a Grilled Steak wafting through the air and the sound of a Steel Drum Band riding the breeze. The crisp white table cloth and the clinking of your wine glass as you toast your exceptional company. And the sense of your contribution making a difference in a community that deserves recognition for the unique artifact that resides in a pond in Oklahoma. This is truly “Made in Oklahoma” material in its most apparent form.
The evening’s donation opportunities will include silent auction items such as restaurant gift cards, hotel stays, Day Spa experience, and many other items. Onsite dinner will include a Molly’s Landing filet steak grilled to perfection, baked potato, salad and dinner roll followed by Molly’s famous bread pudding.
The evening is sure to be a success with the help of donations through the fundraising efforts of the FINS of the Blue Whale, a sub-committee of the Catoosa Arts and Tourism Society (CATS). The FINS of the Blue Whale help support the maintenance of the Legendary Route 66 Blue Whale, through donations from visitors, gift shop purchases and fundraising efforts during The Blue Tie Affair. The funds go toward the preservation of the Blue Whale and maintenance of the site. Sponsorship opportunities are available through Catoosa Arts & Tourism Society.
